Download links will not be reissued after expiry and
it is recommended to keep a backup copy of your files away from your PC on a
Memory Stick, CD-ROM or other removable media.
Download Links are not sent out by email from the Making
Tracks shop. Click
here for details of how to obtain your download link.
You will have difficulty downloading if you are on Dial-Up
Internet Access. This is because of the large file sizes associated with with
our Stock Packs and on Dial-Up Internet download times could be in the HOURS
timescale.
If you have a Download Accellerator running on your PC it is
recommended that you disable it prior to downloading from the Making Tracks
shop. Some offer the ability to not use the Accellerator for certain domains,
if this is the case, pleae disable it for http://shop.makingtracks-online.co.uk.
I am having a problem downloading from the website.
There are multiple reasons for this to occur. If one of the following applies
to you, please read the soloution for the same cause below.
- Although unconfirmed, download accellerator programs are known to be causing
problems with the secure way in which the shop downloads its files to you.
- You are on 'Dial-Up' internet. Due to the large file sizes, and the way
they are delivered to you, the server times out before you are able to receive
the file.
Solution:
- Disable your download accellerator for the shop.makingtracks-online.co.uk
domain, or temporarily disable your accellerator software while you download
from the shop.
- You are unable to download via the shop system. You would need to purchase
a CD version of our product which will be posted to you.
The reason for both of these issues is that, although your browser reports
that it is downloading a zip file, our website actually creates the zip file
as you are downloading it using php. This is used to prevent the download links
from being passed round and from users 'leaching' onto the files from other
websites.
