MT have set some very high standards, and intend to deliver what we promise, and attempt to exceed expectations every time.
Making Tracks was formed in early 2004 by the late Dale Stewart, Dave Babb & Nick Collier. Our goal was to create the best of breed TrainSim addons. We wanted to work to a very high standard and produce something to be truly proud of, and provide the kind of support we thought people had a reasonable right to expect. In short, a group we'd want to buy something from, and people would enjoy being 'customers' of !
We were quickly joined by other talented content creators who have continued to join us since we formed.
We don't waste our time with a 'tack central' website design. We'd rather give you regular updates than have a page with every tacky web effect possible. We will keep you as up to date as possible with your favorite project.
In late 2005, we developed a new database driven website, in partnership with GMpublicity, this included the redesign of the main Making Tracks website to allow easier updating and addition of news, and to give a uniform feel to the website and forums. In June 2006 we launched our shop 'Making Tracks Retail' to easier provide our customers with new products such as our downloadable StockPacks.
We are the only group that have offered regular free model downloads and upgrades, some are upgrades to stock included in our London & SouthEast route, but many are completely new, free models or upgrades to existing freeware. To date we have released more than 30 free models, many of which have been completely free with no prerequired purchase needed (other than MSTS). We have also donated exclusive models to UKTS route CD's. Making Tracks have even given away a free route ! No other UK developer has done this.
